Diverticulosis
Diverticulosis is a common disease found in more than 30 percent of people over the age of 50. Although most people will show no obvious signs of this disease, it can lead to further complications such as intestinal bleeding and infection. However, diet can greatly improve the symptoms. Dr. Shabana Shahid, MD, gastroenterologist will provide a brief overview on the causes of diverticulosis, along with discussing how it is diagnosed, complications, and its treatment and prevention options with a focus on diet.
