2. Zoning Ordinance Update & Input
The Village of Westmont has embarked on a project to prepare a comprehensive update of the existing zoning ordinance (Appendix A of the Municipal Code). The Village's Zoning Ordinance regulates uses and development on private property. The Village’s current zoning ordinance dates to the late-1970s and reflects an era when much of the development in the Village occurred on previously undeveloped “greenfield” sites. Westmont is now a dynamic, mature community that is largely built-out. Today, redevelopment and reuse are top priorities and it is important for our zoning regulations to reflect our current community conditions as well as goals of the Village. The proposal will update the Village's downtown regulations to greater aid in redevelopment and continue support for existing property and business owners.

B. Westmont High School Homecoming Parade on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00pm
C. Downtown Westmont Trick or Treat Trail, Casket Races and related activities on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00am to 1:00pm
D. Westmont Community Guide launch was in July – Ad Space in Now Available
E. Downtown Light Pole Banner Program launched in July – 2 location remain in B-1
F. Village of Westmont Downtown Improvement Program Update
G. 2023 Frosty and Friends Parade and Frosty and Friends Open House is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024
