These programs\, services and events are designed and structured to serve Chamber membership\, enhance the value of the Chamber and to support the goals and initiatives of our strategic plan as outlined below.\n\n \n\nWestmont Chamber Vision\n\nTo be the source\, the voice and the choice for the Westmont business community.\n\n \n\nWestmont Chamber Mission\n\nTo promote\, connect and support businesses and tourism in the Westmont area. The Westmont Chamber of Commerce and tourism Bureau is the:\n\n \n\n            Source for new business relationships and community information\n\n            Voice for identifying and expressing the concerns of business community\n\n            Choice for promoting and marketing Westmont\n\n \n\nWestmont Chamber Values\n\nHonesty   Integrity   Collaboration   Advocacy - Service\n\n \n\nWestmont Chamber Strategic Initiative Initiatives\n\n            Proactive community engagement\n\n            Demonstrate and build on the value of Chamber Membership\n\n            Provide business development and support resources\n\n            Proactive networking and relationship building on a local and regional basis\n\n \n\nThe 2024 scope of work outlined was reviewed and approval by the WCCTB Executive Board and the WCCTB Board of Directors as proposed in December 2023. The Committee will now proceed to implement the approved plan throughout 2024.\n\n \n\nBusiness & Membership Development Services Committee\n\n \n\nResponsibilities - Acts in support of WCCTB Membership growth\, activation and retention. Provides support at Chamber activities in support positive member networking. This committee also covers Membership Growth and retention Campaigns\, New Member Packets\, Chamber Ambassador Program\, Chamber Open House\, Prospective and New Member events.  Separate sub-committees may exist to handle details of specific programs\, ie. Community Guide. This committee also covers Business Development & Growth initiatives.\n\n \n\nCo-Chair: Steve Bauer\, Phillips Flowers & Gifts\n\nCo-Chair: Steve Wozny\, Old National Bank\n\n \n\nMeets - 2nd Tuesday of every other month on January 9\, March 12\, May 14\, July 9\, September 10\, and November 12 at 8:30 a.m. or at the call of the Chamber or Committee Leadership at Westmont Centre or via a hybrid meeting.\n\n \n\nMembership Goals & Plan\n\n \n\nMembership Campaign   Conduct two major membership campaigns (February and September) and an ongoing incentive membership campaign throughout the year. \n\n \n\nMembership Dues   2% dues increase (note\, if a member pays by January 10th\, then the 2% increase is waived.)  Deadline of membership renewals will be March 31st. The entire payment\, or first payment on a payment plan in writing\, needs to be received by March 31st else the member will be dropped from the membership roll.   \n\n \n\nMembership Growth - Add 60 new members in 2024.  \n\n \n\nMembership Open House   Conduct two membership open house events (February 21st and September 18th). Continue to try new venues for these events. The September event will celebrate our 50th Anniversary (WCCTB was incorporated with the State of Illinois on September 5\, 1974)    . \n\nMembership Retention   We project 85% retention for 2024.  \n\n \n\nBusiness Development Services\n\n \n\nTrain Station Display Case - Continue to offer the display case at the Westmont Metra Station to help area consumers better connect with WCCTB members.  \n\n \n\nWelcome Neighbor Program - This program will help promote our business community to new residents and businesses moving into Westmont.  \n\n \n\nLight Pole Banner Program - Offer business promotional program to the business community and to the Village of Westmont.  \n\n \n\nCommunity Guide - Develop and publish a 2025 Westmont Community Guide. \n\n \n\nBusiness Focused Briefings/Webinars - Present a quarterly business focused briefing on topics that help our members succeed. The topics will include social media\, money-smart and member related programs.  This does not generate any revenue but does require staff hours to promote and market the event.\n\n \n\nBusiness Services - The Chamber will offer business services to our members\, use of office and meeting space\, mail delivery and copy services.\n\n \n\nEconomic Outlook Luncheon   Multi-Chamber event that is hosted by the Westmont Chamber.  Event usually provides four components\, networking\, Business Expo\, lunch and a presentation on the economic outlook for the year.  This year's event will be re-invented to include a presentation and sponsorship opportunities.\n\n \n\nMembership Huddles   Present a quarterly opportunity for members to network and receive information on Chamber activities\, events and programs.\n\n \n\nRibbon Cuttings - The Chamber will promote ribbon cuttings for new businesses and for anniversary events as a means to enhance the value of membership. Does not generate revenue\, but is provided as a membership benefit.\n\n \n\nBusiness After Hours - The Chamber will seek ten candidates for Business After Hours Events in 2024.  We will understand this could be a virtual format\, hybrid format or in-person. These events do not generate revenue but do support member engagement and retention. The events do require staff hours to plan and promote to our membership.\n\n \n\nMember Huddle   The Chamber will offer a "New Member Huddle" each quarter for our newest members. The goal is to help new member "jumpstart" Chamber engagement\, networking and overall understanding of all available resources as well as to offer new ideas.\n\n \n\nHolly Days Parade Participation - Have a WCCTB presence in the Frosty and Friends Parade.  This does not generate revenue but help promote our business community. This event does require staff hours to promote\, encourage participation and market the event.\n\n \n\nState of the County Address   Participate and support the State of the County address luncheon.\n\n \n\nMulti-Chamber Economic Outlook Luncheon   Plan\, coordinate\, and host the Multi-Chamber Economic Outlook luncheon.\n\n \n\nState of the Village Presentation   Plan\, coordinate and host the State of the Village presentation for the Village of Westmont.

The Committee will now proceed to implement the approved plan throughout 2024.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Business &amp\; Membership Development Services Committee</span></strong><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Responsibilities -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Acts in support of WCCTB Membership growth\, activation and retention. Provides support at Chamber activities in support positive member networking. This committee also covers Membership Growth and retention Campaigns\, New Member Packets\, Chamber Ambassador Program\, Chamber Open House\, Prospective and New Member events.&nbsp\; Separate sub-committees may exist to handle details of specific programs\, ie. Community Guide. This committee also covers Business Development &amp\; Growth initiatives.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Co-Chair:</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Steve Bauer\, Phillips Flowers &amp\; Gifts</span><br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Co-Chair:</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Steve Wozny\, Old National Bank</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Meets -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> 2nd Tuesday of every other month on January 9\, March 12\, May 14\, July 9\, September 10\, and November 12 at 8:30 a.m. or at the call of the Chamber or Committee Leadership at Westmont Centre or via a hybrid meeting.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Goals &amp\; Plan</span></strong><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Campaign &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Conduct two major membership campaigns (February and September) and an ongoing incentive membership campaign throughout the year. </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Dues &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> 2% dues increase (note\, if a member pays by January 10th\, then the 2% increase is waived.)&nbsp\; Deadline of membership renewals will be March 31st. The entire payment\, or first payment on a payment plan in writing\, needs to be received by March 31st else the member will be dropped from the membership roll.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Growth -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Add 60 new members in 2024.&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Open House &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Conduct two membership open house events (February 21st and September 18th). Continue to try new venues for these events. The September event will celebrate our 50th Anniversary (WCCTB was incorporated with the State of Illinois on September 5\, 1974)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; . </span><br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Retention &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> We project 85% retention for 2024.&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Business Development Services</span></strong><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Train Station Display Case -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Continue to offer the display case at the Westmont Metra Station to help area consumers better connect with WCCTB members.&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Welcome Neighbor Program -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> This program will help promote our business community to new residents and businesses moving into Westmont.&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Light Pole Banner Program -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Offer business promotional program to the business community and to the Village of Westmont.&nbsp\; </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Community Guide -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Develop and publish a 2025 Westmont Community Guide. </span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Business Focused Briefings/Webinars -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Present a quarterly business focused briefing on topics that help our members succeed. The topics will include social media\, money-smart and member related programs.&nbsp\; This does not generate any revenue but does require staff hours to promote and market the event.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Business Services -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> The Chamber will offer business services to our members\, use of office and meeting space\, mail delivery and copy services.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Economic Outlook Luncheon &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Multi-Chamber event that is hosted by the Westmont Chamber.&nbsp\; Event usually provides four components\, networking\, Business Expo\, lunch and a presentation on the economic outlook for the year.&nbsp\; This year&rsquo\;s event will be re-invented to include a presentation and sponsorship opportunities.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Membership Huddles &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Present a quarterly opportunity for members to network and receive information on Chamber activities\, events and programs.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Ribbon Cuttings -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> The Chamber will promote ribbon cuttings for new businesses and for anniversary events as a means to enhance the value of membership. Does not generate revenue\, but is provided as a membership benefit.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Business After Hours -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> The Chamber will seek ten candidates for Business After Hours Events in 2024.&nbsp\; We will understand this could be a virtual format\, hybrid format or in-person. These events do not generate revenue but do support member engagement and retention. The events do require staff hours to plan and promote to our membership.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Member Huddle &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> The Chamber will offer a &ldquo\;New Member Huddle&rdquo\; each quarter for our newest members. The goal is to help new member &ldquo\;jumpstart&rdquo\; Chamber engagement\, networking and overall understanding of all available resources as well as to offer new ideas.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Holly Days Parade Participation -</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Have a WCCTB presence in the Frosty and Friends Parade.&nbsp\; This does not generate revenue but help promote our business community. This event does require staff hours to promote\, encourage participation and market the event.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">State of the County Address &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Participate and support the State of the County address luncheon.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">Multi-Chamber Economic Outlook Luncheon &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Plan\, coordinate\, and host the Multi-Chamber Economic Outlook luncheon.</span><br />\n&nbsp\;<br />\n<strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;">State of the Village Presentation &ndash\;</span></strong><span style="font-family:arial\,sans-serif\;"> Plan\, coordinate and host the State of the Village presentation for the Village of Westmont.</span><br />\n<br />\n&nbsp\;</div>\n
