DESCRIPTION:College of DuPage is beginning a new tradition! We invite you and your family to participate in the inaugural Laps with the Chaps 5K Run/Walk. Prizes will be awarded for different age groups and overall male and female winners. All net proceeds will benefit College of DuPage scholarships.\n\n	The 5K route will wind through COD's scenic campus and finish inside the football stadium\, where the awards ceremony will be held. Make sure to keep an eye out for all the new improvements on campus! Plan to stay and root for the COD Chaparrals football team as they go against the Joliet Junior College Wolves.\n\n	Did You Know \n\n	Since 1967\, College of DuPage has provided quality education for the residents of District 502\, which includes most of DuPage County and portions of Cook and Will counties. More than 25 percent of high school graduates in the District attend College of DuPage during their college years. Each semester\, we welcome more than 30\,000 credit and non-credit students. In our most recent survey of COD graduates conducted in 2009\, 97 percent reported that they were employed in Illinois\, with 66 percent working in-district. \n\n	We are truly your community college\, offering affordable\, quality education that is the value of a lifetime. \n\n	\n\n	DATE:\n\n	Saturday\, Oct. 22\, 2011 \n\n	START TIME:\n\n	2 p.m. \n\n	Location:\n\n	College of DuPage-Football Stadium (corner of Park Boulevard and College Road)\n\n	425 Fawell Blvd. Glen Ellyn\, IL 60137\nCourse description:\n\nFlat\, completely paved (except for start and finish on stadium track)\, and winds through the scenic campus. The course is USATF Certified (Certification Code: IL-11055-JW). \n\n\n\nFootball game:\n\nEach registration fee includes 3 free tickets to the football game between the College of DuPage Chaparrals and the Joliet Junior College Wolves. The game starts at 6 p.m. Extra tickets will be available for purchase. Make it a family affair!\n\n\n\nCost:\n\n$30 through Oct. 1\n\n$35 from Oct. 2 through Oct. 20\n\n$40 on race day\n\n$5 discount for current COD students or CARA members (CARA certification pending)\n\n	Refunds available with doctor's note specifically referencing relevant medical injury at least 24 hours prior to race day.
